Last week was suuuper busy at Momentum. I've been working on Coke Olympic POS graphics, Smart Balance FSI and Evian/US Open promotional pieces. This week I'm back and ready to tackle the Evian/US Open project. This job is welcomed, because Peter will be gone for two more weeks, so I won't have time to miss him.
Saturday I picked up a sample of my Christmas card for this year. I'm excited about the final results. Caroline used a glossy coated paper and applied a matte varnish on the background. My printer does a great job with all my files. Thanks, Ed & Caroline @ Pre-Press to Printing.
Easy, inexpensive Christmas decorations, made using only paper and glue. I made these with my 6 & 8 year old, so anyone can add a little whimsical fun into Christmas.
I love this wildflower called: false sunflower or ox eye. I've just completed a few composition & color studies for the a final illustration. So far the shapes are working, but I'm not too happy with the colors. My biggest challenge is deciding how much detail to keep before it looses its identity. Too much detail complicates the art and makes it busy, old-fashioned. Modern prints are about simplicity, and that's what I'm always striving for. Copyright 2007 Ramona Stalinescu
I started this painting a few months ago and finally finished it this week. I named it "Rhapsody" . The next step is to turn it into an illustration so I can experiment with different colors. Copyright 2007- Ramona Stalinescu
I created this pop illustration of a tree back at the AIA and I just found it today. I added some mushrooms for a bit more interest but I'm still playing with different elements.
I finished the companion piece for "The Beach". It captures the first seconds before the big dive into the water. It's carefree and light. Copyright 2007 - Ramona Stalinescu.
Look at these felt rocks ! They are sculptural pieces, made from 100% pure wool felt and average about 4-6 inches across. They would be perfect for decorating a children's playroom, with an outdoorsy theme. The company that makes them is Molo Design.

"The Beach" - Copyright 2007 by Ramona Stalinescu These pieces are very special, because they are illustration of my daughter, after some photos I took this summer.
I love my daughter's new chandelier. We replaced the old one she had not too long ago and it really makes this room fit for Hannah, our little princess.
