Love them or hate them, hashtags are #trending

Image
I don't know about you, but I find the use of hashtags to be the norm with millennials. The rest of the people I work or socialize with, either hate them or don't care for them. But why? Hashtags are just simply labels, another avenue for your content to be found on social media, it's a social way of engaging a dialog with your audience or getting people to talk about your product/company. Of coarse, just like any new skill it's something that you get good at with practice and learning a few basics. First of all DON'T fear them! #hashtags are becoming more and more popular with advertising campaigns and weather or not you want to jump on the bandwagon or not, they will help increase awareness of your brand. Hashtags were used in the last Superbowl and some of the more memorable were: #BestBuds #salute #AmericaIsBeautiful #vw. An easy way to start using hashtags is by simply labeling your business/products into your posts, just like you would label your recipes

Orioles and berries

I'm back to doing what I love after more than two years of being in corporate America. It's been a great experience, working with some amazing people, but the routine and my stressful 3.5 sometimes 4hrs. daily commute started to kill my passion. I'm not sure how most people in Atlanta will deal with this increasing traffic problem, other than companies need to be willing to be more open to telecommuting. At least for now I don't want to worry about it, but I'm keeping my eyes open to different opportunities that are available where I can balance my work and family life. I'm posting one of my favorite series of birds (orioles) and berries illustrations , which you can find on etsy.com and can be customized to any color to match your house of office decor. Check out more of my illustration collection there.
